Summer Scrapping challenge

Postby needtime2scrap » Thu Jul 05, 2012 2:56 pm

Ok ladies I'm putting this out there. I haven't been scrapping as much as I usually do, I *have* been shopping more than I normally do though  another box came from Sandy yesterday with 2 full Echo Park collections and 2 mini theme collections. So now that I'm fully stocked up (including adhesive) I'm on a spending freeze. My challenge to myself is to do 100 projects this summer/fall before I buy anymore. My summers are a lot less busy (usually  ) so this should be doable, hopefully.
Does anyone want to join me in a summber scrapping challenge? You pick your goal and we'll keep each other accountable.

I am on a sb buying "diet" too. I need to use up some stash. I can't commit to 100 layouts, for sure, but I think I can do 20. That's a more realistic goal for me. Do you think I could count 5 cards as one? Sometimes it seems like that's all I have time (or mojo) for.

I'm just going to keep trying time to scrap and keep going. My goal is to update my blog at least three times a week. With the gks being here and the stress of dil learning to drive, I just haven't had time or mojo (or energy) to get back in my scrap room! It looks like I'll only have two "free" weeks this summer in between kids arriving and staying and leaving etc but will certainly "thinking" about scrapping even if I don't get to it!

OK I'll keep going with my three blog updates a week... (or more)... that's about all I can commit to realistically right now...

P.S. I have lots of stash too!

that's awesome Kelly and Carolyn! Last night I went through my kits that I hadn't used yet and I've got 3 unopened, but a few weeks back in an effort to streamline my scrapbooking I took any collection kit that I had and matched it up with cardstock from my stash and put some matching ribbons etc. with them in a big ziploc back and I've got 5 of those not including the new ones that I'll do today. Now I just need to print out some new photos...

This is such a good idea Rebecca! I have a bunch of partially used kits, I don't know how many projects I can get out of them but I'd like to finish the kits up by the end of summer :)

I have not been scrapping either. My craft room is a disaster and the scrap stash is piling up. I'd love to join this challenge. Problem is defining what exactly is realistic and doable.....

Ok, forget about being realistic..here are my goals for the summer.

Clean up my scraproom (being trying to do that since March)
25 projects done by the end of the long weekend in Sept.
I have a daily december album that has to be finished up.

Let the scrap-games begin!

OK - I'll set my goal for 40 up to the Labour Day weekend. I just did 12 with Rosie's challenge, so only 28 more to go! :D
